Andy Hook is a writer and illustrator of books and comics for children. He is author and illustrator of the best-selling Zac Power: High Risk, published by Hardie Grant. He also completed cover design and art and internal illustrations for about twenty other books in this and other series, working for Hardie Grant and Pearson Publishing.
Andy created the Oddbodz and Space Oddbodz cards that warped young minds in the nineties, as well as many Glo-Caps collectibles. He has collaborated with all kinds of great people, completing hundreds of illustration, animation, game design and character design projects, and several kids’ product designs. His Oddbodz comics were published for several years in K-Zone magazine, which led to 6 online Oddbodz games, designed and animated by Andy. He designed and animated the award-winning cult hit game OgOg Alive.
Andy was born in Melbourne but grew up in Sydney, Canberra, San Francisco, Nairobi, Johannesburg and Manila before returning to Australia to study. He lives in Melbourne with his wife and son, and has a studio in the CBD.
